It seems to me that we are collectively stuck when it comes to weight loss. The same conversations about it, the same advises that lead to the same place - nowhere. Some of my favorites are:
Eat less and exercise more
Try this and that diet
You need to eat less fat
Your workout routine is not right
You have a willpower problem
Count your calories
Try a pill
Try a medical procedure
All of my clients have tried at least one of these "solutions" and the long term result is zero. The main reason for that is that these "solutions" do not fix the actual cause of the weight gain. There are many different reasons that can make a person gain weight - unlimited number of emotional factors, unlimited number of metabolic and nutritional factors, genetic inheritance, deeper and more profound soul lessons that need to be learned or a mix of things.
That is why clearly the above mentioned "solutions" are not going to work. Not because you are a loser and there is something wrong with you but simply because they don't address the actual issue.
